The Golf Club at Indian Creek hosted an inaugural Pro/Junior outing on Tuesday afternoon, 7/18. Twelve Webcom touring golf professionals were paired up with thirty-six junior golfers from the greater Omaha area to compete in a 9 hole scramble event. A shout out to all of the Webcom touring golf professionals for partnering with the Golf Club at Indian Creek to make this happen. Webcom professional Wes Roach is pictured here is with his three junior golfer playing partners.
First Tee of Omaha youth participants will have the privilege of getting “inside the ropes” at the Pinnacle Bank Championship, serving as Standard Bearers 7/20-7/23. What is a Standard Bearer, you ask? Standard Bearers work in tandem with the on-site scoring team to keep scoring signage up to date and visible to those watching at the course. The experience is pretty awesome as the youth participants also get to personally meet the players in their group. Fun stuff!
Did you know that Hogan’s Junior Golf Heroes – The First Tee of Omaha has been providing Golf and Life Skills programs for 20+ years? Thank you to all the youth participants and families who have been involved over the years! Our staff and coaches consider it a privilege to work with all of the youth participants each year!
Youth participants at our Westwood Heights GC programming site show their appreciation to our coaching staff after completing the 6 week summer program. Summer programming sessions focus on Golf AND Life skills. Youth participants not only learn how to chip, putt and swing, but they also learn about golf’s 9 Core Values. Thank you to all of our dedicated coaches for bringing summer programming to youth in Omaha for our 27th straight year!
On Tuesday, 7/18, the Pinnacle Bank Championship and Indian Creek Golf Club will be hosting a Youth Day, open to the public. For those interested in learning more, please click “Read More” to view/download the Youth Day Info Sheet.

We encourage families to take time over the extended July 4 weekend to get out on the course and make it a FAMILY GOLF DAY! If travelling out of town, we encourage you to consider taking the kids golfing wherever you are. All programming sessions will resume on Wednesday, 7/5! Thank you!

The First Tee of Omaha will be needing volunteers to serve as driving range attendants at the Webcom Tour Pinnacle Bank Championship July 20-23. For now, we are asking volunteers to fill 100% of the driving range attendant slots first as we need to get those covered ASAP. Standard bearer slots will be saved for our summer program participants 12 years and above – a parent must sign-up to accompany their child in this important “inside the ropes” role carrying the scoring signage. Interested in signing up as First Tee volunteer? Please click “Read More” and follow the link: Volunteer with The First Tee for the Pinnacle Bank Championship. Ryan Guthridge, our Program Director, will be coordinating First Tee volunteer support for this year’s PinnacleBankChampionship so please direct any questions to Ryan. Please note that this volunteer opportunity requires that you pay a $50 fee to receive the volunteer polo that the tournament planning team requires and the free tickets to the event. Per information received from the PBC tournament director, the $50 volunteer package includes the following:
~ One Adidas Polo

~ Free admission for the week when not volunteering

The First Tee of Omaha’s Westwood Heights GC TEAM golfers kicked off the summer season in full swing by participating in the event held at Platteview CC in Bellevue, NE. This group refers to themselves as the “squirrels” as each team is encouraged to have a creative team name. TEAM GOLF is run by the Nebraska Junior Golf Tour as a fun, social and less stressful approach to tournament golf providing juniors with knowledge and skills that encourage long term youth development and a lifetime of golf enjoyment.
